Maritime Authority will be part of SeguridadExpo 2024

The Directorate General of Maritime Territory and Merchant Marine (Directemar) will participate in the 2024 edition of the international fair SeguridadExpo, held from September 25 to 27, highlighting the work of the Maritime Police in protecting the coastline and order in the waters of the Republic, a key role in the safety of ships and ports.

The presence of the Maritime Authority at the exhibition, which this year will take place at Metropolitan Santiago, underscores its leadership in maritime management, its commitment to security in strategic areas of the country, the protection of marine resources and the welfare of coastal communities. On the occasion, the Maritime Police will exhibit its work in surveillance and security operations, both in jurisdictional waters and in port areas, highlighting its capacity to face maritime emergencies and natural disasters. It will also present its specialized equipment for the protection of the environment and the prevention of illegal activities in the jurisdiction of the Maritime Authority. SeguridadExpo 2024 is considered the main platform for exchange on security issues in Chile, so being part of it highlights Directemar’s commitment and the importance of cooperation between public and private organizations to strengthen security in the maritime territory.
