On Wednesday, April 25, President Gabriel Boric participated in a new version of Enade, the event that brings together the country’s most important businessmen. At the event, the president expressed his concern for national security and the advance of organized crime in the country. He emphasized that “it is necessary to confront it with a sense of national unity and not trying to take advantage of it in the short term”. In this line, he stressed the need for “cooperation with our neighboring countries and address it in all its dimensions, from social prevention at the community level, the monitoring of the money trail, organized crime, through an effective prosecution of crime. He also highlighted the international collaboration in the capture of the suspect in the murder of Carabineros Major Emmanuel Sánchez. “We have said it and this proves it, wherever they are, in Chile or abroad, we will pursue them and find them, arrest them and bring to justice all those who commit crimes against our country and commit this type of actions that are unacceptable and that we cannot normalize or naturalize,” he said.
