Security Expo to present international congress in December, a prelude to the 2023 international trade show

The most important international security fair in Chile, after a deep reflection with the main actors of the sector, will change its date, holding the new version of Seguridad Expo between October 5 and 7, 2023.

Santiago, October 20, 2022 – The most important international security fair in Chile, after a deep reflection with the main actors of the sector, will change its date, holding the new version of Seguridad Expo between October 5 and 7, 2023. The international fair and congress, which will be held at the Parque FISA fairgrounds in Pudahuel, will present an exhibition with a wide range of technological solutions for the sector and innovations that will seek to develop the security-related market. The international fair will be spread over 20 thousand square meters of exhibition space and will bring together more than 200 exhibiting companies representing 25 countries, including Brazil, the United States, China, Switzerland, Spain, Germany and Australia, consolidating itself as the largest meeting point for analyzing the challenges and advances in the field. Thus, during the three days of the exhibition, more than 5 thousand professional visitors are expected to attend. It will also provide a privileged space for commercial exchange, the introduction of new technologies and the improvement of productivity in the execution and operation of projects related to defense and security. The event will reaffirm the important role of security in Chile, showing the local development of goods, products and services oriented to the industry; and will open opportunities for the exchange of experiences, technologies and international developments with the national industry. Likewise, it will introduce to the market new technologies not available in the country, and will provide effective solutions to the police, Armed Forces and civilians. SUMMIT SECURITY EXPO Security Expo will present on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Metropolitan Santiago, the International Congress “Summit Security Future 2022”, which will seek to provide solutions for the development of the security industry. The manager of Seguridad Expo, Victoria Belloni, added that “this year we will present a congress and exhibition space to address the main security challenges of the country, and the solutions proposed by public institutions and the private sector, facing the difficulties that the country presents in terms of security. In this way, we will make a preview of what will be the version of Security Expo 2023, which will present the main solutions to the security problems that are present both in the country and abroad”. The seminars and talks will start at 9:30 am with the first block “Cyber Security: The urgency of knowing how to anticipate and act”, which will present the importance and tools to secure people’s information, avoid account theft, scams, identity theft, prevent hacking episodes, among others. Participants will include Merle Maigre, Senior Expert in Cyber Security from Estonia; the Ministry of the Interior; Senator Kenneth Puig; and the companies KPMG and Microsoft. Subsequently, in block two “Smart Cities: Smart Security”, will present the scope of security in public spaces, homes and businesses, and the challenges of reclaiming public spaces that have been threatened by crime. The panel will include the participation of the Mayor of Providencia, Evelyn Matthei; the Chilean Chamber of Construction; the Carabineros; and the Advisory Commission of the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism. Panel three, “Disasters, institutionalism, society and resilience”, will present the conflicts associated with natural disasters or conflicts that affect part of society, and the strategies designed so that people can adapt to adverse situations with positive results. The event will be attended by Ricardo Toro, national director of ONEMI, and representatives of the National Mining Society (Sonami) and the National Forestry Corporation (CONAF). Finally, the fourth part of the congress, “Organized Crime: An Illegal Business Model”, will analyze the growth of criminal organizations, their main objectives, and ways to combat them, presenting Carabineros, PDI and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, as well as EUROPOL, studies and associated strategies. The international congress will be accompanied by an official lunch, networking and an exhibition for participating companies committed to date, which will be the prelude to the 2023 fair.
