Santiago, September 27 – SeguridadExpo, organized by FISA of the GL events group, closed its eighth successful version. During its three days of operation, it attracted more than 4,542 visitors, consolidating the exhibition as a key place for the presentation of new technologies, products and services. In addition, the congress stood out as a crucial space for debate and analysis of the main challenges, both nationally and internationally, in a context marked by growing public concern for security.

The fair featured more than 150 brands that presented solutions focused on improving public and private security. Exhibitors took advantage of the space to carry out demonstrations highlighting the impact and effectiveness of their products and services.

Daniel Díaz, marketing manager of Hikvision Chile, expressed his satisfaction with the participation of his company as a sponsor and exhibitor of the fair, “Hikvision had an important participation in the market, and in the fair as well. We have very good results so far, it was quite productive for us this year. Always maintaining Hikvision’s presence in the electronic security industry. So, to tell you the truth, we are very happy.

Sosafe, the renowned crime prevention application, also played an important role as a strategic partner of SeguridadExpo. Cristian Cabrera, co-founder of Sosafe, said, “We have found the fair to be an excellent event this year. From the police to the attending public, it has really managed to concentrate the most relevant actors in security. We, as Sosafe and as a strategic partner of the fair, are making our contribution to improve everyone’s safety”.

Another exhibitor, Juan Pablo Urrutia, commercial manager of Blindatek, a company specialized in armoring solutions for vehicles, also commented on his participation in this fair, “we are very happy with the participation this year, we had also been at the fair last year, we noticed that there is much more presence of people, I think the traffic at the fair has been very good”.

“In general, we noticed that there is a lot of interest among people in understanding the world of armoring, how this coexists with the car, what is different, what I gain, what I lose, and that is what has allowed us to show people, with finished vehicles ready to use”, Urrutia closes.

The congress, entitled “Security in the 21st century: how do we address the challenge today?”, was held in parallel on Thursday and Friday, with the participation of more than 20 security professionals and authorities. The congress consisted of six blocks, which included four panels and two presentations by leading experts. Among the topics discussed were border control, organized crime, the situation in the macro-zone south and disaster risk management.

In addition, the Association of Municipalities of Chile (Amuch) organized a panel on Municipal Security on Wednesday afternoon, while the Association of Private Security Companies and Transport of Values (Aseva) led two panels on Thursday afternoon, which analyzed the challenges of private security in Chile and macro security systems in the country.

Rodrigo Bastidas, manager of SeguridadExpo 2024, stressed the relevance of the congress, “for us it is important to contribute to the industry not only by offering a commercial exhibition, but also as a meeting point to present and discuss the problems and concerns about the urgent issues in this area”.
