SeguridadExpo defines the main lines of its Congress 2024

Between 25 and 27 September, the country’s leading security fair will bring together a group of experts who will reflect on the main issues in the sector in various panels. This year’s title is clear: “Security in the 21st Century: How do we address the challenge today?

Santiago, Chile – The next edition of SeguridadExpo 2024, to be held from 25-27 September at the Centro de Eventos Metropolitan Santiago, will be the setting for one of the most eagerly awaited events in the sector. This is the Congress that will take place within the framework of the fair and is entitled “Security in the 21st Century: How do we tackle the challenge today?“.

This congress is shaping up to be a key meeting point for security experts, who will discuss contemporary challenges and innovative solutions in the field.

“It is a great challenge for SeguridadExpo to host a congress of this magnitude in a context where security is the issue that most concerns Chileans. Security is a vitally important issue and having a space where the best global practices can be discussed and analysed is essential to make progress in this area,” says Rodrigo Bastidas, exhibition manager.

“In addition to the scheduled topics, our congress provides an invaluable opportunity to discuss contingent issues affecting security in today’s world. Panel 1: Crossing Borders: International Experiences in Border Control and Management

This panel will present success stories and lessons learned from different countries in border management and control. Speakers will address the latest technologies and methods of international cooperation that are transforming border security, offering a comprehensive view on how to improve efficiency and security in these critical areas.

Panel 2: Tracking the Finances of Global Organised Crime

Organised crime operates through complex financial networks that cross borders. This panel will bring together finance and security specialists to discuss the most effective strategies and tools for tracking and disrupting criminal finance globally.

Case studies will be explored and the impact of technology in the fight against illicit finance will be analysed.

Panel 3: Intelligence in the Southern Macrozone: The State and Forestry Experience

Focusing on security in the Southern Macrozone of Chile, this panel will present the collaboration between the state and forestry companies in the use of intelligence to address security challenges in the region.
Participants will discuss successful strategies and the role of advanced technology in the protection and management of resources in a complex and challenging environment.
